There are many things you can do to create success for your life and, of course, there are many definitions of success. When you read “how to succeed” here I’m not talking about mere financial or business success. I’m referring to all-around success in every area of your life including in your body, your mind, and your soul. In other words, emotional success, physical success, and spiritual success. If you are wondering how to begin the journey of success you can start by reading these short simple ideas from my father, the late Dr. Robert H. Schuller:
Stop—the self-deceiving and self-defeating habit of defending your mistakes, rationalizing your sins, making excuses for your failures, and whitewashing your errors of judgement.
Look—deeply into yourself and your situation and see the slumbering possibilities that wait to be revealed.
Listen—to constructive criticism, sensible advice, and honest counsel that serious and sincere friends have been trying for years to communicate with you.
Wait on the Lord to give you the ideas, the dreams, and the aspirations to become a great big success for God.
